What is CBD?

Cannabidiol – better known as CBD – is just one of over 85 different naturally occurring cannabinoid compounds derived from the hemp plant. Depending on the extraction method, there are varying degrees of purity. For instance, isolate is considered one of the purest forms of CBD because traces of other cannabinoids are deliberately removed. This ensures that there are no psychoactive elements such as THC in the finished product.

What is Nano CBD?

Nanotechnology today allows compounds like CBD to be broken down into smaller particles, increasing its bioavailability. In fact, the standard CBD molecule is 2,000 nanometers in size while nano-emulsified CBD is nearly 40 times smaller. In other words, nano-emulsified CBD passes through the barrier to our bloodstream with greater ease than the standard molecule, increasing the absorption rate of each dose from 20-35% to 80-90% so users have the potential to feel relief faster and more effectively.

What are the benefits of CBD and other cannabinoids?

Your body has an endocannabinoid system – ECS for short – that helps you maintain your overall health and wellness. As indicated by its name, this system interacts effectively with cannabinoids like CBD because it comes equipped with CB1 and CB2 receptors. The ECS assists the regulation of the kidneys, pancreas, eyes, skin, liver, reproductive system, immune system, and cardiovascular system. While cannabinoids provide a variety of benefits, our products are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease. We make no medical claims about our products but may refer to related studies to facilitate your access to valuable information. We also encourage you to seek out trusted sources and studies on the uses for those living with different conditions.

What are the concentrations of CBD and other cannabinoids in your products?

Our raw extracts contain varying percentages of cannabidiol (CBD) and other cannabinoids, with concentrations ranging from 10% to 99%. Each product has a unique formulation, maximizing a particular set of benefits through a carefully selected ratio of our different extracts. Our CBD Isolate is over 99% pure CBD.

What is the difference between CBD oil and the hemp products I buy at the grocery store?

Hemp products sold in stores are most often made with hemp seed oil, which can contain only trace amounts of CBD. While it has been noted that hemp seed oil can be a great source of nutrition, its marginal quantity of CBD per weight makes it unfeasible as a CBD supplement. Our CBD hemp oil, however, is extracted from the stalk of specifically selected hemp cultivars, offering higher percentages of CBD by weight and additional nutritional benefits.

What do CBD spectrums contain?

A majority of our merchandise is made using Isolate CBD  which is the purest extract you can get because the extraction method intentionally leaves out other minor cannabinoids. However, we also offer Broad Spectrum and Full Spectrum extracts which contain trace amounts of other compounds derived from the hemp plant to maximize effectiveness.

What are CBG and CBN?

Other up-and-coming superstars in the CBD industry are Cannabigerol (CBG) and Cannabinol (CBN). CBG is sometimes called the "mother of cannabinoids" because it is the base molecule from which other phytocannabinoids are formed. CBN is a cannabinoid that forms when CBD breaks down through oxidation. Both of these compounds help balance your internal rhythms by working with the CB receptors of your endocannabinoid system.

What is Delta-8?

The latest addition to our cannabinoid products features Delta-8 Tetrahydrocannabinol (Delta-8). This compound is an isomer of CBD, resulting from an oxidation process. Although it can demonstrate psychotropic properties, we test all our new Delta-8 products to make sure they do not have Delta-9 THC concentrations that exceed the legal limit of 0.3%. Please note: We encourage users to be mindful when using any Delta-8 products because effects can vary.

Are cannabinoids legal to purchase or do I need a medical card?

Hemp-derived cannabinoids such as CBD are federally legal in all 50 states. As such, you do not need a medical card to purchase our products. Rest assured, our company goes the extra mile to ensure that our CBD line not only meets all government standards but is also safe for your use. We do so by submitting every batch we make to a third-party lab for purity and potency testing. The results are always available on our website for your review. Please note: select cannabinoids such as Delta-8 are still restricted in some states and orders for related products will not process

How much cannabinoids should I use or take the first time?

The effects of cannabinoids vary because tolerance differs from person to person. As a best practice, start with a smaller dosage and increase the amount gradually and observe how your body responds. Do keep in mind that consistency is crucial for your body to become acclimated. Please note: If you have any pre-existing medical conditions or use other medications, consult your healthcare provider prior to use.

Will Creating Better Days products impair my ability to function normally?

The psychoactive component of cannabis is known as Tetrahydrocannabinol (THC). However, the hemp variant of the plant – which is our source for cannabinoid extracts – naturally produces less THC. Coupled with the strict measures we take to abide by state and federal regulations, we make sure that our CBD products do not have concentrations of Delta-9 THC that exceed the legal limit and will not impair your ability to function normally. Please note: Our new Delta-8 products are the sole exception. While our products made with Delta-8 THC still adhere to government standards and are legal in a majority of states, they have the potential to produce a subtle high and should be used with care at all times. Do not operate a vehicle or heavy equipment while under the influence.

Will Creating Better Days products show up on a drug test?

As per federal regulations, cannabinoid products made by Creating Better Days "contain a total Delta-9 THC concentration that does not exceed 0.3% on a dry-weight basis." In other words, our products have little to no THC and will not be detected. This is because we only use cannabinoid compounds that are obtained from the hemp plant using modern methods such as CO2 extraction and nano-emulsification technology to ensure purity.  Please note: Our new Delta-8 products will still show up on a THC drug test and should be used at one's own risk.

Do your products have any side-effects?

Hemp is considered to be safe and produces no major adverse side effects. That said, we recommend consulting your physician before adding cannabinoids into your daily routine.

What is CO2 extraction? What's the difference between subcritical and supercritical CO2 extractions?

CO2 extraction is an extraction procedure that uses pressurized CO2 to extract phytochemicals, such as CBD, CBG, terpenes, or flavonoids, from a plant. At certain temperatures and pressures, CO2 acts as a solvent, separating these phytochemicals from the rest of their source plant. This extraction method is the most expensive plant extraction technique and is commonly considered to be the most reliable and the safest. While many hemp and CBD companies boast about their supercritical CO2 extractions, supercritical extraction is just one approach to CO2 extraction and may produce inferior results. Other approaches include subcritical CO2 extractions, which use a lower temperature and a lower pressure, and ‘mid-critical' extractions, which use temperatures and pressures falling between those used in subcritical and supercritical extractions. Subcritical CO2 extraction takes more time and produces a smaller yield than supercritical extraction. This procedure, however, is better able to retain many of the important oils, terpenes, and other sensitive chemicals within the plant. Supercritical extraction, on the other hand, is a high-pressure, high-heat procedure that harms most of the plant’s terpenes and heat-sensitive chemicals. The advantage of supercritical extraction is its ability to extract much bigger molecules, such as lipids (omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids), chlorophyll, and waxes. A genuinely full-spectrum CO2 extract consists of an initial subcritical extraction, a secondary supercritical extraction from the same plant material, and the homogenization of the two resulting oil extracts into one. In the vital oil industry, an extract derived from this specific process is described as a ‘CO2 Total.’
