Back to School with ACT

Back to school time is inevitable for most, and with it comes the long list of school supplies. For some families, this is an accessible couple of errands. But for many families it may be unachievable. Luckily, Abuse Counseling and Treatment, Inc. (ACT) is accepting school supplies for those families.

ACT is a private, not-for-profit agency committed to serving victims of domestic violence, sexual assault and human trafficking. Before the school year began, our team rallied to give ACT our support.

Better Days purchased and sourced 450 new pencils, 300 erasers, and 72 protractors to donate to ACT. Along with a donation of overĀ 50 pieces of gently used or new clothes, for those who might not be able to get their "back-to-school" wardrobe.

ACT provides services to all persons without regard to race, color, religion, national origin, gender, age, mental or physical disability, sexual orientation, citizenship, marital status, gender identity (or expression), language spoken, immigration status and any other protected class, ability/disability, health/mental health status, pregnancy, military status, and genetic information.
