CBD is becoming the major focus for several scientists as they begin to unravel the properties of medicinal cannabis. CBD is the compound found in Cannabis plant and it stands for cannabidiol. Researchers have been working hard to find out its potential therapeutic uses.
CBD comes in many forms: Wax, topicals, oil, edibles, tinctures, syrups, capsules. Oils that contain the concentration of CBD are known as CBD oil. CBD oil itself, cannot be stated as the best medicine to cure a particular disease. When the use of CBD is combined with lifestyle and diet alterations, CBD has been proved to have reduced certain types of ailments like anxiety, acne, diabetes, depression etc.
As the studies are streaming in, a lot of therapeutic effects were found for skin and body as well.
First, Let’s see how CBD oil works:
Cannabinoids attach themselves to certain receptors inside the body to release their effects. Also, certain cannabinoids are produced inside the body on it’s own. It is found that there are two receptors for cannabinoids: namely CB1 receptors and CB2 receptors.
CB1 receptors are found all over the body, but many of them are inside the brain. These receptors have an influence on the coordination and movement, pain, mood, appetite, memories, thinking capability and many more. THC (another compound found in cannabis plant which is psychoactive) gets attached to this CB1 receptor.
CB2 receptors deal with the immune system and also, have an effect on pain and inflammation. Earlier, the scientist used to be under the notion that CBD acts on these CB2 receptors, but it appears now that CBD does not act on either receptor directly. Instead, it seems to influence the body to use more of its own cannabinoids.

The beauty industry has now accepted the fact that CBD is effective in the moisturizing skin and also have various other benefits in beauty care. Most people are unaware of how inflammation of the skin and body can be a root cause of other major health concerns, making it important to reduce inflammation for your health. With strong antioxidant properties, CBD oil is an ideal way of reducing inflammation in the skin.
